Schools serving Hilton Beach

Elementary students on St. Joseph Island attend St. Joseph Island Central School in Richards Landing. This institution serves children from junior kindergarten through to grade 8.

From there, they go to Central Algoma Secondary School (CASS) in Desbarats, a high school (grades 9-12) that serves about 600 students.

Students are bussed in from all over the Island. Bus routes include most major roads on the Island. The longest ride the students of both schools would probably have to experience would be 45 minutes to an hour.

CASS has an excellent athletics and intramurals program, which has repeatedly been heralded as one of the best high school athletics programs in the country.

SJICS and CASS are schools in the Algoma District School Board (ADSB). More information can be found at the ADSB web site.
