Effective January 1, 2016, clear bags will be required for curbside collection as well as for household garbage taken to the landfill.
Clear bags can be purchased at the Hilton Beach Municipal Office during regular office hours. The cost of the bags are as follows:
- 22″ x 24″ – $3.25 for 25 bags;
- 26″ x 36″ – Extra strong – $6.00 for 25 bags or $9.00 for 40 bags
The Recreation Committee advises that the profits from the sale of the garbage bags will go towards improvements at Forbes Community Park.
