Council Meeting Schedule 2024
The following schedule was approved by Council for the Village of Hilton Beach for the year 2024. These dates are subject to change, with notice. Additional meetings may be called throughout the year.
Regular Council Meetings will be held on February 14th, March 13th, April 10th, May 8th, June 12th, July 10th, September 11th, October 9th, November 13th, and December 11th.
Special Council Meetings will be held on February 28th (Budget/Finance Committee), March 27th (Budget/Finance Committee), April 24th (Village Inspection), and July 24th (Public Auditor Meeting – Tentative)

Landfill Holiday Hours
The Hilton Beach Landfill will be open regular winter hours this holiday season
Saturday, December 23rd – 10 am – 3 pm
Sunday, December 24th – Noon – 4 pm
Saturday December 30th – 10 am – 3 pm
Sunday, December 31st – Noon – 4 pm

To assist with scheduled maintenance at the Water Treatment Plant in the Village of Hilton Beach we are asking residents to please LIMIT WATER USAGE on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023

Marina Hours Changing
The marina hours have changed for the season. New hours are as follows:
August 29th – October 13th
Monday – Friday 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
Saturday & Sunday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
NSHN Thessalon Site Temporary Emergency Department Closure May 24 & 25
Thessalon, ON – The Emergency Department at the Thessalon Site of the North Shore Health Network (NSHN) will be temporarily closing on the following dates due to physician shortages:
From 8:00 am on Wednesday May 24, 2023 and reopening Friday May 26, 2023 at 8:00 am.
The North Shore Health Network has investigated all possible options to continue to provide safe access to care, however, the difficult decision has been made to announce the temporary Thessalon Site Emergency Department closure. Every effort will continue to be made and NSHN is committed to keeping the community informed regarding this situation.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Ambulances will be re-routed to one of the following: NSHN Blind River Site, NSHN Richards Landing-Matthews Site, or Sault Area Hospital.
The closest Emergency Departments to the Thessalon Site are:
• Blind River Site – North Shore Health Network – 525 Causley St., Blind River, ON
• Richards Landing Site – North Shore Health Network – 1180 Richards St., Richards Landing, ON
• Sault Area Hospital – 750 Great Northern Rd., Sault Ste. Marie, ON
